The new features of YouTube annotations were introduced in June 2008 which are the text overlayx on top of the YouTube playback videaos.
This may get annoying some time when you are enjoying your video. But YouTube has an option actually allow you to turn off this features.
- Login into YouTube
- Go to Account at the top right corner
- Go to Playback setup
- Uncheck the Annotations check box
- Save the changes
- continue enjoy your video on YouTube
