Finally, the Maxis has bring in the official Apple iPhone to Malaysia. You may check their official web site out regarding the detail.
The price for me personally is too high compare to the unofficial iPhone out at the market. But if you are the Apple phone, i don’t think the “small” diff will kick you out from buying that.
Basically there are 3 plan available to tie with the iPhone, which are i-Value Plans with 12 months contract, i-Value Plans with 24 months contract, and Value Plus Plans with 6 months contract.

12 months contract: iPhone 3G price from RM 1,080 to RM 2,290

24 months contract: iPhone 3G price from FREE to RM 1,890

6 months contract: iPhone 3G price from RM 2,540 to RM 2,960

The plan table at the Maxis web site look a bit confuse, let’s explain on the i-Values Plan for 24 months contract.
If I sign up for i-Value 1, which mean I can buy the iPhone 16GB at the price of RM 1890, then I need to pay for RM 400 for advance payment. On top of that, my monthly commintment if RM 100 for 2 years.
No matther which plan are you sign up with to get your iPhone, I don’t think any of them are cheaper then the unlock version that you get from other place then Maxis. I believe most of the Malaysian’s thinking user will still trend to the unlock version (I believe most of the Apple fans will hate me by saying that)
