Real VNC (Virtual Network Computer) is a remote control software which allow you to view and fully interact with one remote computer desktop (VNC Server) using the simple and light program call VNC Viewer. It may connect to any VNC Server either over the local area network or over Internet. 

With VNC, you no need to worry on the computer’s OS platform because VNC is a platform independent application. You may use the VNC viewer to view any desktop either is Linux, Window Vista, Window XP or Mac computer.

For simplicity, VNC also available in the Java viewer version, so it is not neccersary that the client computer (Local) must install the VNC viewer, it may run within the Internet browser.

Virtual Drive Manager is a very light application that allow you to mount the image file. The file size is about 197KB and because of the small size of application it self, you may just carry it with your pen drive. Virtual Drive Manager not only allow mount the image file, it also allow you to shrink the image file to smaller size.

Virtual Drive Manager support the standard image file such as ISO, IMG, BIN, NRG, and IFU.

How to use it?

To run Virtual Drive Manager, you just double click on the exe and mount the image file to the virtual drive.

1. Double click on the exe file and run it.
2. Click on [Mount] -> [Browse] to choose your image file

Last week when I try to run the update my AVG 8.0 free edition and getting the error message of “Invalid update control CTF file”.

So try I’m to google it for the solution and finally get it. The step to solve it is pretty simple, you just need to delete the previous download *.ctf file and let the update engine to start all over again.

The step as below:

1. Open My Computer.

2. Goto C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avg8\update\download.

3. Delete all file which end with .ctf such as avginfowin.ctf, avginfoavi.ctf, avginfo.gen.ctf etc.

4. Done! Try to update again the antivirus

* Remember not to delete the file end with .bin, because those are the ones that where complied on previous updates
