Search engine gaint – Google has roll out their secure search engine which encrypted with the https.

Google search engine with https is the application that allow user to search the data in the “secure channel”. This is the application that come with the HTTPS secure channel after the gmail.

Google has also unveiled a new logo with a padlock image to differentiate the secure version of the site.

With the https://www.google.com, that mean all the communication before your web browser and google are ecrypted, hence this can help to protect your serch terms and your search results page from being intercepted by a thirst party on your network.

The new beta Google Secure seach have the disadvantages of may slow if compare to the traditional way of searching, but you will always get th sames grate result from Google.

Google launch their new search page design some days ago as well as redesign on their brand logo. The new logo is lighter, brighter and simpler. The whole design is base on the concept of personality and playfulness and distilled them.

The logo was the foundation for new icons and hundreds of tiny alterations designed to accommodate and seamlessly integrate the expanded functionality of the left-hand panel.

Google Music China now allow the user from China to listen and download the song from Internet for free. Google Music is the join venture product by Google and Top100 (www.top100.cn). Top100 is a company that provide service to Google including all the singer profile, album detail, song, lyrics, and also the music related news.

Google Music now include more then 100,000 music from difference country including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Euro, Japan, Korea and more. Searches for Michael Jackson surged a little before 3 p.m. PDT Thursday.

Google has confirmed that the surge of Micheal Jackson-related searched on Google News Thursday was first interpreted as an ttack on its service.

Google News was inaccessible for some people Thursday afternoon right as rumors of Jackson’s death began to circulate, replaced by an error message reading “We’re sorry, but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.”

Of course, those queries were quite legitimate, as millions around the world searched for accurate information regarding Jackson following reports that he had suffered cardiac arrest. The spike in queries began at about 2:45 p.m. PDT Thursday, and Google thought the traffic was an attack for about 25 minutes before realizing what was going on.

Google also noted that it saw a huge spike in mobile searches. Yahoo’s data backed up Google’s; it set a record for unique visitors in a single day with 16.4 million visitors, and its lead story on Jackson’s death was the most highly-visited story in its history.

Do you believe that the Search engine gaint are FAIL in math?

Google search engine calculator will display the wrong answer if you try to calculate the very large number. For example 2,999,999,999,999,999 minus 2,999,999,999,999,998 should be get the answer of 1, but google give the answer of “0″. Suprise?

You will only get the correct answer  2,999,999,999,999,999 minus 2,999,999,999,999,990 which the answer is 9.

The other example is 400000000000002-400000000000001, you will get the answer of 0 instead of 1, but 400000000000002-400000000000000 you will get the correct answer of 2 from Google calculator.

Basically this post is just for fun, I’m not sure what is the story behind the calculation error, maybe is a bugs, or maybe Google have their own explaination on it.
