With the new launch of the Facebook apps for the iOS and Android, you will soon be able to customize your mobile Facebook app. But will facebook charging for the apps download? Here’s a clue: the company explicitly doesn’t want to call it a “store,” according to ABC News.

“You’ll only see high quality apps in the App Center, based on user ratings and engagement.”

There a lot of apps in iPhone that allow you to control your computer remotely, but there’s no any apps that allow you to control your iPhone from your computer but Veency.

 tech.david-cheong.com

Veency is an apps that you can download from Cydia (Only for jailbroken phone) and it’s a fully functional VNS server for the iPhone and it’s allow you to connect from your computer using the VNC viewer.

(Note for installing: You MUST reboots your phone after it’s installed for the service to start. Then you can connect with a VNC client. This isn’t in the file info.)

I found the Veency very useful when my iPhone is charging in my room or even besides my PC, and I can simply reply or SMS any of my friends using my computer. Where you need to do is just to remember the iPhone IP address.

Overall is a very good idea and cool apps, but I found out one thing that the apps can improve is allow the clipboard sharing between the iPhone and the computer.

How to use Veency on iPhone

1. First, fire up Cydia and install Veency.

  tech.david-cheong.com

2. After installation, you would not find any Veency application icon on home screen. But Veency should be already there.

3. Connecting to Veency requires you to use a VNC client. For Windows user, you can download VNC client from RealVNC. For Mac users, I recommend you use Chicken VNC, which is also free.

4. Here, I’ll use RealVNC as example. For other VNC clients, the connection procedures should be more or less the same. Okay, launch RealVNC.

5. Next, check your iPhone’s IP address. You can find it in “Settings” -> Wifi . Click “>” on your selected Wifi Network to display the IP address (e.g. 10.0.1.197)

Click on the confirmation to confirm deautorize computer in your iTune account

After deautorize the computer in Apple ID, the deautorize button will be disappear and available again after 1 year

In order to play music, videos, and other content downloaded from the iTunes Store, each computer you want to play the content on needs to be authorized with your iTunes account.

tech.david-cheong.com

Each iTunes account can authorize up to 5 computers. In most cases, this isn’t a problem; few of us have more than 5 computers that we use. However, those 5 authorizations can get used up quickly if we sell a computer and forget to deauthorize it or if a computer dies before we can deauthorize it.

tech.david-cheong.com

In that situation, you’re not stuck with one of your authorizations being used on a non-functional computer. Your iTunes account provides a way to deauthorize iTunes on old or dead computers.

  1. Opening the iTunes program and going to the iTunes Store via the iTunes Store menu item in the left-hand tray.
  2. Once you’re at the iTunes Store, click on the Sign In button at the top right corner (if you’re not signed in) or on your account name in the same location (if you’re already signed in).
  3. This will bring you to your iTunes account. In the top box, you’ll see a section labelled Computer Authorizations towards the bottom. Next to it is a button that reads Deauthorize All. Click it.
  4. A window will pop up asking you to confirm that this is what you want to do. Continue.
  5. In just a few seconds, all 5 computers on your account will be deauthorized.
  6. Now, re-authorize just the computers that you still use and you’ll be all set.

Other Useful Notes About iTunes Deauthorization

  1. It’s important to note that the Deauthorize All option is only available when you’ve used all 5 authorizations for your account and can only be used once every 12 months.
  2. If you no longer have access to a computer using one or your authorizations, or that computer no longer works, it can be pretty difficult to remove that authorization. In that case, it may be better to use friends’ computers to reach the 5 authorization limit and then follow the Deauthorize All steps above.
  3. If you plan to give away or sell a computer, or install a new hard drive or reformat the existing one, deauthorize the computer first. Otherwise, the computer may end up taking up one or more of your 5 authorizations when it shouldn’t.
