GoDaddy down: Problems with DNS and hosting knock 100,000+ websites offline

GoDaddy, one of the world’s best known web hosts and the world’s largest domain registrar is experiencing serious downtime.

Hundreds of thousands of websites are thought to have been knocked offline as a result as its DNS and hosting services experience major technical problems.

 

The problems were first reported on May 29th, with GoDaddy subsequently issuing a fix. More problems were then reported on June 1st and again on June 2nd.

 

Today (June 3rd) more problems have been reported with users taking to Twitter to say that sites around the world, including Thailand have been affected.

 

The GoDaddy website, although online was also experiencing problems with only the homepage accessible.

 

GoDaddy is said to manage more than 5 million hosting accounts, although it is not immediately clear how many accounts have been affected by the most recent outage.

 

In a Tweet posted on Friday morning, GoDaddy admitted that it was experiencing problems in the Asia-Pacific region.
