Google change the new favicon

Google launch their new favicon silently. A new favicon slender ‘g’ in blue color, the new favicon similar to the icons of Andriod and iOS mobile search apps.

This integration at the icon level is perhaps another step towards standardizing all Google platforms with same icon- on the lines of strengthening the brand recognition.

The old favicon was launched in year 2009 and it looks like the following
