Google Chrome browser finally comes into your iOS devices. Google made its announcement on Thursday as part of its annual Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Chrome for iOS immediately available for download in Apps Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod (Only available for those iOS devices runs iOS 4.3+) after the announcement.

Chromes for iOS doesn’t use the V8 JavaScript engine and it’s have to rely on Safari’s old JavaScript engine. The bad news for Chrome and all the other third-party apps is that they can’t use Apple’s fast Nitro JavaScript engine and the only app that can use it is Safari. That means Chrome on iOS is slower than Safari and slower than Chrome on Android.

This is because Apple’s policies don’t allow Google to use its own JavaScript engine or even Safari’s fast JavaScript engine.

But the good thing is Chrome for iOS allow user to sync tabs between their computer, Android devices, and iOS devices. Besides that, it also come with incognito mode, Google voice search and allows you to open multiple tabs. Other than that, the look and feel of the Chrome browser in iOS more or less the same as what you use in your other devices.

When Google first release their Chrome Browser few years back, very less number of people would expected that the new browser will become more popular than Firefox and Internet Explorer, but after few years in the market, Google prove to the world that they can make even better browser than other people. With the Chrome for iOS, again, it will significantly increase their market share and as a user, we keep looking for better version release coming up soon by Google again.
