Is Maybank2U Pay requires the buyer to have Maybank2u too? Do they accept credit card from other banks?

    1. David 21/01/2014 at 5:46 pm

Yes, Maybank2U Pay require the payer to have Maybank2u online account too. It actually allow your fund sender to skip the step to enter the merchant account number and name.

It’s not accepting any credit card as per up to date. Because their target user for Maybank2U Pay is those seller who are selling at their Facebook or blog without using any Payment Gateway.

    1. David 10/06/2014 at 3:56 pm

Yes, you can apply it to wordpress.

It’s just a piece of script where you just copy and paste to wherever place you like.

  4. Alex 29/01/2015 at 12:51 pm

Can maybank2u pay be use to multi seller? For example, i open e store to seller in my website then the seller can use maybank2u pay mode to make their transaction between seller and buyer

    1. David 29/01/2015 at 1:35 pm

The Maybank2u Pay is directly pay to your Maybank account, the payer no need to fill in your account number and name again when they open the Maybank2u page. They just click the link and login to their Maybank2u online, fill up the amount and make payment.

If u want to let’s your seller to received payment directly from the buyer, all of the seller need to request for the Maybank2u Pay from Maybank directly and paste the link in your website. In short, it’s not sharable for difference seller.

Hope I answer your question correctly.

          1. Alex 26/05/2015 at 9:27 am

May I know maybank2u payment gateway can be use for many seller?

            Thank You

          2. David 26/05/2015 at 9:39 am

The script will link to one of your Maybank2u account, you can paste to as many website as you like but you cant share with other seller.

else all those money will go to your bank account, if other seller OK with that, than should be no problem.

          3. Alex 26/05/2015 at 9:44 am

Because my website is marketplace or online shopping website, so i may involve some seller that will selling their product in my website. And different seller will have different bank account information. My purpose is buyer can direct pay to seller, so they no need involve any third party.

            Thank You

          4. David 26/05/2015 at 10:31 am

If that’s the case, maybe u need to get every of your seller to apply for the M2U Pay, than plugin the code into your system, so once the client checkout, you can detach which seller should received the payment, than only you display out the particular seller M2U Pay script.

But the main purpose for M2U pay is for those casual seller, who dont have a proper shopping cart system to run their online business, so for those seller who have a complete shopping cart system, it’s recommended to go for those proper payment gateway such as iPay88 or eGHL.

My experience about M2U Pay is that you having problem to track back your transaction. if that’s a lot of transaction coming in per day, than you will having big problem. their role is just to simplify the normal fund transfer step only, but not mainly for online shopping cart system.

You need to consider again for your case.

  5. Genie 20/05/2015 at 8:26 pm

I’ve been applying for many times and returned with suspended status. Could it be because my account is a personal account not associated with my business registration?

    1. David 20/05/2015 at 9:56 pm

I not sure about the suspended status, but my MBB account also under my personal account and not associated to any business registration. You may try to call up maybank2u customer service regarding this. But what I can thinking of is that the time when I register for the Maybank2u Pay is the time they are just start to push the product, so the verification procedure may not that tie as compare to now.

Good luck and hope you able to get the Maybank2u Pay ready soon.

  6. TEOH ZEGWEI 03/12/2015 at 9:07 am

Hi, what cost to apply this service and how much it is charging per transaction ?

    1. David 03/12/2015 at 9:21 am

There is no cost to apply for the M2U Pay, and there is no charging fees for every single transaction that done via M2U Pay.

This product is mainly focus on those small seller which have only very less transactions per day, because M2U Pay it’s just simplify version of normal fund transfer, you cannot track any transaction detail or any order ID from your Maybank2u online account.

I experience it before if there is more than few client bank in the difference amount of money to you, you will need to follow up with your client before you can confirm the payment.

If you thinking to do e-commerce in a proper way, iPay88, Paypal, eGHL still your best friend.

  7. Srinivasa Rao 31/10/2016 at 4:53 pm

I would like to Maybank2u Pay integrate with my system and after payment done i would like to know the payment status so that i can close the transaction. Is there any way i can know the transaction status like success or failure.

I got the script from bank but there don’t have status of the transaction.

    1. David 07/11/2016 at 10:37 pm

I think the Maybank2u Pay is not for the integration purpose, they are focus on those seller who doing the business at blogsite but not the proper e-commerce website. They just help your buyer to pre-fill up the seller bank account detail to skip the step for them to make the payment via the Maybank2u website only. It’s not suitable for those website who have a lot of sales and you need to do the bank reconsolidation manually one by one, it may not that feasible.

If you want to do the integration using ASP.Net, you may looking for those 3rd party payment gateway such as iPay88 or Paypal, which more suit for your need.

Hi…how do I get script code for maybank payment gateaway ? Already registered Maybank2u pay.

    1. David 26/08/2017 at 9:09 am

You may check regularly on your Maybank2u account messenger part and see, they should attach everything in the PM to you including the coding to be include into your website.

  9. Alex Lai 04/10/2017 at 4:03 pm

Would you please elaborate more on how to apply the script in wordpress?
I search high and low and not able to find any firm answer. Thanks.

    1. Nizam 22/12/2017 at 8:48 pm

I refer to your text/quote above:

    Hi Alex,
How do we integrate Maybank2uPay with WooCommerce and WordPress?

    1. David 23/12/2017 at 12:27 pm

Maybank2u Pay, it’s just a javascript which you can just copy and paste it into your website, the script will populate the button in your website. Whenever your customer want to make payment, just click on the button to bring them to the Maybank2u sign in page with your bank account number “pre-fill up”.

It’s not really suitable for the business owner who already have the shopping cart, where it’s only target those user who are selling in their blog site which don’t have any system to help them to keep track of their transaction flow.

If you already using WooCommerce and already have the complete e-commerce system, why don’t you go for 3rd party payment system or Paypal, which I believe they already pre-integrated into the woocommerce system.

      1. Nizam 06/01/2018 at 5:37 pm

So do you mean that Maybank2u Pay cannot be integrated in WooCommerce?
Yes. Paypal os one option, but we are looking into an alternative for payment by customers who have Maybank2u account, which they can easily transfer the payment when purchase from our website.
        Please advise. Thanks.
