Rumor: Apple to release new iPad Pro with Face ID and Apple Pencil next year

Weeks after KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo predicted that future iPad Pro models would come with Face ID, Bloomberg followed up with a similar report with more details on what to expect next year.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is working on a new, high-end iPad Pro model with Face ID. The inclusion of Face ID would mean that the elimination of the Touch ID button which paves the way for slimmer bezels and a design language closer to that of the iPhone X. In addition, Apple is also developing a new version of the Apple Pencil and new software tools for using it.

If true, this will be the biggest design change for the iPad Pro since 2010 and the first upgrade for the Apple Pencil since 2015.
