Late Whitney Houston was Year 2012’s hottest search, announces 12th annual Year-End Google Zeitgeist.  She was followed by Gangnam Style and Hurricane Sandy.

Zeitgeist announced the top trending queries for the year based on the study of 1.2 trillion searches on Google search engine. Zeitgeist divides searches into several categories such as Images, Athletes, Events, People, Feature Films, TV Shows, Performing Artists, Arilines and Google+ Hashtags.
